Early life, childhood, and education
Dr. Steve Turley is a well-known theologian, author, and speaker on religion, ethics, culture, family, and society. He is an adjunct professor at Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. Turley studied theology at the University of Oxford and Duke Divinity School where he was a classmate to Christian apologist William Lane Craig.
He specializes in studying the history, politics, spirituality, and culture of Islam. Dr. Turley has taught at George Washington University in Doha, Qatar, and served as a writer and consultant for USAID. And his childhood was not easy because, Dr. Steve Turley’s childhood was not always the easiest of lives, but during those difficult times, he learned what it means to persevere and keep fighting.
From a very young age, Dr. Turley knew that he wanted to be a doctor like his father, but his father died when he was just 11 years old. Distraught and filled with rage, Dr. Turley threw himself into sports and academics in hopes of making his mother proud. He also has lived an interesting life, with many interesting events happening to him.
From the age of 4, he was seeing his first psychiatrist due to behavioral issues that were becoming more common in his day-to-day life. This led him into the pursuit of psychology at the University of British Columbia where he then went on to get his doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Duke University.
Work and achievements
Dr. Steve Turley is a tenured professor of Public Policy and Political Science at George Mason University. He is the author of 4 books, with “The Restructuring of Global Order” being his latest, released in 2015. He has also published articles in numerous academic journals and media outlets on topics ranging from the US-Iran relationship to the Silk Road Project.
Turley’s latest work focuses on how globalization has impacted America’s role as the world leader. He has studied around the world to understand Muslims better, earned advanced degrees in theology, philosophy, and Middle Eastern studies, and has published eleven books. Dr.
Turley teaches at two universities in Canada and Turkey as well as Oxford University. He also advises governments on Muslim affairs and has served as an expert witness in cases involving Muslims. And Dr. Steve Turley has a YouTube channel with over 80 million views and 1.7 million subscribers.
Dr. Turley recently posted a video titled “The Case for Christianity” where he talked about the evidence that points to Christianity being true, which was seen by more viewers in the first three days than any of his previous videos.

Dr. Steve Turley is a man of many interests and talents. He has enjoyed a successful career as a professor at George Washington University, and he has many personal pursuits to keep him busy.
