In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalkerâs eyes are burned by a lightsaber to cause a scar. In this article, we will explore what could have caused this injury and how it should have been treated.
Anakin may have been injured by being shot with a blaster or from being cut with a lightsaber. The wound would need to be thoroughly cleaned and then closed up with stitches.
He starts as a young slave boy and has a journey of self-discovery and transformation over the course of the series. His path is never an easy one, but he learns to show compassion and empathy for others.
Anakinâs biggest challenge happens in Revenge of the Sith when he turns to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader. Unfortunately, the movies donât provide insight into how Anakin got the scar.
This article will cover how he might have obtained his infamous facial injury. There are many conflicting theories about how Anakin may have gotten the scar.
The simplest explanation is that he suffered it before his conception; perhaps in some type of accident with Shmi Skywalker when she was pregnant with him.
One of the most interesting stories in the series is the story of Anakin Skywalker, who went from being an incredibly gifted Jedi to becoming Darth Vader, arguably one of historyâs most infamous villains.
The character first revealed his iconic facial scar on the eye during Episode III, Revenge of the Sith.
What is George Lucasâ Explanation?
George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, doesnât seem to have a clear answer about Darth Vaderâs scar either. Instead, he reveals that he has never thought about the specific instance of it.
While his reasoning may be unclear, his statement is not without merit. Rather than drawing comparisons between himself and other peopleâs creations, Lucas advises that they should be left alone.
In a recent interview, when asked about where Luke Skywalkerâs lightsaber is in The Force Awakens, George replied âI donât know. Ask Howard,â referring to President of Lucas Licensing Howard Roffman.
âThatâs one of those things that happens in the novels between the films,â said George. By revisiting his roots and making a Star Wars that was not only true to its original spirit but also brought modernity into the mix, he has finally garnered much-needed acclaim from critics long since tired of his incessant tinkering with a world that was never meant to be tampered with.
And The Dark Horse Comicsâ Star Wars: Republic #71 has the closest explanation for Anakinâs scar, after George Lucasâ explanation was rejected. Lucas originally said that the scar was due to a Jedi fight with Count Dooku.
However, this answer is not plausible because Count Dooku never fought with Anakin.
Fight with Ventress on Coruscant
The Expanded Universe is a collection of a variety of Star Wars books, comics, and video games that take place in the time period before and after the events of the movie series.
In these stories, Anakin Skywalker receives a scar over his right eye during a fight with Asajj Ventress. This particular fight can be seen in the cartoon series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Throughout the time of the Clone Wars, many battles were fought. One of these was on Coruscant. Jedi Master Quinlan Vos had gone to Coruscant to find out more about Count Dookuâs new apprentice, Asajj Ventress.
What he found there was a vicious fight with Ventress. There are many different images of this particular fight in the original Star Wars TV series from 2003-2005. Anakin is out of the Jedi Temple to view a message from his wife Padme when Ventress comes across him and attacks full force.
However, Anakin is able to escape with only minor cuts and bruises. This leaves Ventress unable to get to him and instead goes for a Jedi she can find â Obi-Wan Kenobi. Perhaps all we know is that it occurred in one of the battles during the Clone Wars.
But it is still likely the result of a lightsaber wound similar to the EU reason. Ventress had been an ally of Dooku and her former master, Count Magna Tolvan, before betraying them both.
Leading troops into battle on Coruscant, she was wounded by Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi wielding their lightsabers.
